The first edition of “Oltre la Vetta. Nature. Mountaineering. Culture.” concluded on February 6, 2026 in Civezzano with the screening of the selected films and the presentation of the official jury awards.


🏆 “Oltre la Vetta” Award – Best Film

Goecha La: Towards Five Treasures

Director: Daniel Voznak · Czech Republic

One of the most spectacular treks in India, along a sacred route leading to the shadow of Kanchenjunga, combining physical endurance and spiritual strength.

Jury motivation

The jury awards the “Oltre la Vetta” Award – Best Film to Goecha La: Towards FiveTreasures for its ability to transform a nine-day trek toward a sacred mountain into a shared journey experience, deeply connected with the nature and culture of the places. Through images showing spectacular landscapes and a simple, essential narrative enriched with cultural and naturalistic elements, the film conveys serenity, respect for the environment, and a strong sense of awareness, inviting the viewer to set out on their own journey. A work that proposes a vision of mountaineering beyond the technical dimension, understood as a human and collective experience based on sharing, mutual support, and an authentic relationship with the environment, fully embodying the values of Nature, Mountaineering and Culture of the festival.


🎖 “Alpine Spirit” Special Mention

Dream Climbers: 5 White Eagles of the Sierra Nevada de Mérida

Director: Jordy Alce · Venezuela

Thirty-three years after an unfulfilled dream, a group of Venezuelan women returns to the mountains for an all-female expedition celebrating determination, friendship and collective strength.

Jury motivation

The jury assigns the “Alpine Spirit” Special Mention to Dream Climbers: 5 White Eagles of the Sierra Nevada de Mérida, Venezuela by Jordy Alce for the strength with which it tells the adventure of mountaineering through an all-female rope team founded on an authentic spirit of community. The breathtaking images of the Andes, combined with dynamic editing alternating action, landscape, personal storytelling and moments of conviviality, accompany ascents that become a shared journey, offering a vision of mountaineering as a profoundly human experience.


🌿 “Environment & Sustainability” Special Mention

The Silent Retreat

Director: Mason Mirabile · Switzerland

A visual journey among disappearing Swiss glaciers, revealing the effects of global warming. The glaciers become a mirror of our future.

Jury motivation

The jury assigns the “Environment & Sustainability” Special Mention to The Silent Retreat by Mason Mirabile for giving voice to the silent retreat of glaciers, transforming it into a powerful sign of ongoing climate change. With striking imagery, the film invites viewers to see the mountain as a fragile and precious presence, calling for renewed responsibility toward its future.
